Portland All British Field Meet
The mission of the Oregon Mini Society is to encourage the preservation and enjoyment of the classic Mini. Therefore a fine classic Mini will be singled out as an exceptional representation of preservation during the Portland All British Field Meet held at Portland International Raceway Labor Day Weekend. The Car selected can be either a well preserved or restored car.
Definition of a Well Restored Car
Restored to current maximum professional standards of quality in every area or perfect original with components operating or appearing as new.
Interior: The interior of the vehicle should be examined and repaired or replaced to match those that were available from the factory.
Exterior: The car’s body and frame must again go through the careful inspection and subsequent repair, and recoating as necessary to bring the car to as first sold condition.
Mechanicals: The engine and all of the ancillary components – starter, generator/ alternator, radiator, distributor, carburettor and all others – must be inspected and corrected to factory specifications. The must must start and operate under its own power and braking.
Definition of a Well Preserved Car
Well preserved or a combination of superior restoration and excellent original; also, an extremely well-maintained original showing very minimal wear. This vehicle must have characteristics of the well restored car.
